Garden edging has a practical and aesthetically pleasing purpose to define the spaces in your garden, such as a clear line between the garden bed and lawn. Edging also works to keep mulch such as bark or pebble from straying onto the lawn and likewise keeps wayward grass from creeping into the garden.
Loose paths or parking areas such as those made of pebble or metal are better off with an edging to keep the materials in place. It’s up to you what material you want to use – timber, concrete, recycled bricks, Holland pavers, half rounds of logs, volcanic or rivers stones – there are so many options.
